Yesterday we had Karri and her daughter Chelsea in for a Mother/Child connection session, and the images were fantastic.

Connection studies are a very contemporary photo session, with an emphasis on the bonds between people. We ask our connection’s clients to dress in black, long sleeved clothing to keep the focus on the relationship between the subjects, and not on what they are wearing.

Connection Studies are shot on both black backgrounds, for artistic black and white images, as well as on medium tone brown images, which complements most homes decor.

I’ve been shooting a lot of Mother/Child sessions lately for a fall exhibit we’re planning. I’ll post the dates here when we have them firmed up.

Wow, they look more like sisters. Their complexions are flawless - and the daughter is striking.

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article ea connection study, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.

Daniel, there aren’t enough images on the blog to fully show what the connection studies are about. Many of the shots in connections are super tight, often on the hands resting on each other, or showing a mother’s gaze looking at her daughter. We do a lot of that with parents and small children. Thanks for asking.
