Back to Gallery: Mark & Shaney at the Samoset!

The plane of focus on a macro shot like this is really shallow – sometimes only a sixteenth of an inch will stay in focus, so lining up the points you want sharp is crucial. I’ll admit, it took me a dozen tries and gaffer’s tape to get these rings lined up and all in focus, but I think this shot is worth the time. Beautiful rings, guys.
